Before you pack your luggage and travel to Brazil,
take some time to think about your contribution, please. Remember that the
official language of the conference is English – therefore, all presentations
and discussion will use that language. If you feel any difficulty with the use
of English, do your best and try to obtain help well in advance of the meeting.
The conference organization requires a strict
compliance to the timetable. All speakers should present their papers in 20
minutes, plus 10 minutes for discussion. Out of respect for the public and the
other speakers, we ask you to observe the time limits, beginning and finishing
your presentation in good time.
For oral presentation, the conference organization
will provide computers
with Internet access and data-show projectors. All computers available for presentation use the
Windows operational system. You should bring your presentation (PowerPoint,
PDF, etc.) in a pen-drive, in a format compatible with Windows. Connection of
private notebooks to the projectors will not be allowed, because of technical
reasons (there may be delays and incompatibility).
People who are going to present posters should
carefully prepare and print their work before arriving to the conference. The
standard size of posters is A0, that is, 118.9 cm high x 84.1 cm wide, or 46.8
inches high x 33.1 inches wide.
It is highly desirable that you provide you full
text, in PDF form, to the public attending the conference. This will make
possible a deeper and more fruitful discussion of your contribution. The deadline
for uploading the full paper is one week before the beginning of the
conference, because it will be necessary to prepare special web pages with
links to each PDF file.
